The government is seeking to find and improve absurd regulations in real life.

The Office for Government Policy Coordination said yesterday (19th) that it had selected 60 regulations submitted as "a royal regulation contest" at a meeting of ministers related to state affairs presided over by Acting President Han Deok-soo.

The absurd regulation, ranked first in online voting, is government support related to postpartum helpers, and under civil law, mother-in-law, who is a mother-in-law, was excluded from support when providing postpartum help services as health care workers, unlike mother-in-law.

In another absurd regulation, children from multi-child families can receive preferential middle school allocation benefits, including a system that excludes children over the age of 18 from calculating the number of children and a regulation that cannot be paid for items that are more expensive than the balance when using digital Onnuri gift certificates.

The government, which made regulatory improvements once in the same procedure last year, plans to increase the number of times as many as three times a year if necessary with this project.
