The emergency committee of the Korean Medical Association criticized the government and the ruling party for interfering with the resolution of the problem, while the government and the ruling party decided not to attend a public debate to discuss the issue of increasing medical schools.

The medical association's emergency committee held an emergency press conference today (23rd) and said that the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Welfare suddenly refused to have a public discussion, saying that all of them should be private except for remarks.

The emergency committee pointed out that Kwon Sung-dong, the floor leader of People's Power, also refused the debate, and that the responsibility for the breakdown of the medical field has dragged on without any countermeasures even though the government and the ruling party have.

Education Minister Lee Ju-ho, Welfare Minister Cho Kyu-hong and floor leader Kwon then urged the government and the ruling party to come up with measures urgently, saying they are afraid to reveal the truth that medical education sites are impossible.
