The Democratic Party of Korea repeatedly pressured Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who served as acting president, saying that it would pursue impeachment unless the independent counsel and Kim Gun-hee's independent counsel law were promulgated by today (24th).
People's Power strongly opposed the Democratic Party, saying it is engaged in an "impeachment hostage" that it will pose a threat if it does not do what it wants.

The Democratic Party of Korea aimed at acting president Han Deok-soo, saying that the delay in the special prosecution process is like acknowledging that he is an acting civil war.
He said that he should not oppose the word "civil war sympathizer party" to the power of the people, and that he should not sympathize with the civil war, raising his voice to accept the independent counsel for civil war and Kim Gun-hee's independent counsel law until today.
[Lee Jae-myung / Democratic Party leader: Please think a little bit about how future generations will evaluate it. The current president's act of rebellion is virtually neglected.]
Some in the party even suggested that if not only acting Han but also other participants in the Cabinet meeting were impeached to prevent them from holding the Cabinet meeting itself, they could promulgate bills that had been pushed back to avoid veto power.
[Cho Seung-rae / Minjoo Party of Korea Senior Spokesperson: We will seek all means and methods to punish the civil war promptly and thoroughly, including accusing Han Deok-soo of dereliction of duty.]
In response, the people's power slammed the Democratic Party for its "hostage" that it will stab at any time if it does not do what it wants. He also emphasized the argument that the quorum of votes is 200, which is equivalent to the president, because it is the impeachment of the acting president, not the
{Prime Minister of State.''
[Kwon Seong-dong / Acting People's Power Party leader and floor leader: Impeachment of the Prime Minister is an impeachment hostage to hold the knife to the acting president's neck and stab him if he doesn't do what the Democratic Party wants]
At the same time, he suggested exercising the right to request reconsideration in the Special Prosecutor's Act, and suggested a "total response," saying that if the National Assembly's decision to appoint a constitutional judge passes the National Assembly alone, it will seek a power dispute trial and an injunction to suspend its effectiveness.
[Joo Jin-woo / Chairman of the People's Power Law Committee: Three constitutional judges were formed for the National Assembly's recommendation, and the meaning of the National Assembly's recommendation is, of course, based on the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties.]
Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik also called on Han to fulfill his request to recommend candidates for the permanent special prosecution.
In the first place, there was considerable "cautious theory" in the impeachment of acting Han Deok-soo for fear of a vacuum in state affairs, but the unstable political situation continues as the endless confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties has strengthened the "impeachment inevitability theory."
