Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the U.S. professional baseball league has been selected as the "Men's Player of the Year" by the Associated Press.
The Associated Press reported that Ohtani was ranked first with 48 votes out of 74 votes cast by member companies.
It is the third time in his career that Ohtani has been selected as the male player of the year after 2021 and last year.
Ohtani, who won the World Series by achieving 50 home runs and 50 steals for the first time in the Major League this season, said he is very honored and wants to receive it again next year.
