Ukraine's Special Warfare Command released a Korean handwritten letter on the 24th local time claiming that it was carried by a North Korean soldier who died while dispatched to Russia.

The crumpled handwritten letter released by the Ukrainian military on social media contains an article that begins with "Missing Joseon, Song Ji-myung, the friendliest comrade who leaves the arms of his loving father and mother and celebrates his birthday here in the land of Rossiya."

At the end of the letter, it is written that it was written on the 9th, so it is presumed that it was a letter that was written and not delivered.

Ukra said the name on the soldier's passport appeared to be "Jeong Kyung-hong" and that it was part of the decoded notebook.

"If you're celebrating your friend, but instead of throwing a party, you're holding a machine gun on someone else's land and selling trenches, the candle-plated cake will turn into a Ukrainian lead bullet," he added.

Ukrainian intelligence officials believe casualties have begun to rise sharply as parts of the North Korean military have been put into combat this month.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on social media on the 23rd that "the number of North Korean soldiers killed or injured in the Kursk region has already exceeded 3,000.
