[Jeonbuk] HD Hyundai Infracore expands engine plant in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province

HD Hyundai Infracore has decided to build an additional engine production plant that will be used for the defense industry or mega-power generation by spending KRW 100 billion on about 60,000 square meters of idle land in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do.

The new factory will be built to produce 880MWh battery packs that can be mounted on 120 defense engines for tanks, 1,200 engines for super-large power generation per year, and about 3,000 electric buses, and mass production is expected to begin as early as the second half of 2026.
