President Yoon Suk Yeol's first impeachment trial is just a day away from the preparatory hearing.

However, there is a high possibility that President Yoon will not attend.

The Constitutional Court said it discussed countermeasures.

There is a reporter on the scene. Reporter Kwon Junsu!

Please tell me the details of the Constitutional Court briefing.

[Reporter]
Yes, the Constitutional Court just held a briefing at 2 p.m.

This morning, the judge said that he discussed the progress of the impeachment case of President Yoon and how to respond.

The National Assembly's prosecution committee explained that it submitted additional power of attorney and proof plan.

However, President Yoon added that there were no documents submitted to the Constitutional Court, such as proclamations or minutes of the Cabinet meeting.

We cannot rule out the possibility of President Yoon's absence from the first proceedings of the impeachment trial.

However, the court said it would proceed as scheduled, saying there would be no problem in holding the first hearing preparation date.

He also stressed that the trial of President Yoon's impeachment has been underway since it was already filed, and that fact-finding and legal analysis are ongoing.

If President Yoon does not appear, there is a high possibility that the date will be re-designated, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, Constitutional Judge Kim Hyung-doo said that if one of them is absent on the way to work today, the trial cannot proceed.
Judge
said he would make another date if he needed more preparation procedures after making a proper judgment.

Above all, the Constitutional Court has not yet filled the number of judges.

In response, the Constitutional Court said at the confirmation hearing that all three candidates for the Constitutional Court could be appointed by acting President Han Deok-soo, and explained that they were in the same position.

With concerns remaining that the Constitutional Court's hearing will remain idle, the National Assembly passed a motion on the appointment of three judges, but whether the appointment can be made,
We are interested in whether President Yoon, who said he would fulfill his legal responsibilities
, will attend the trial process in the future.

So far, I'm YTN Kwon Junsu at the Constitutional Court.
