The police are investigating the alleged involvement of the martial law army in the arrest of National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik?

Police say they are confirming the facts about the allegation that martial law military arrest teams have been deployed to the National Assembly speaker's official residence.

The plan is to check the identity based on CCTV footage released earlier near the National Assembly Speaker's official residence.

In the early morning of the 4th, allegations were raised that martial law forces were deployed near the National Assembly speaker's official residence shortly after the resolution to lift the emergency martial law passed the National Assembly and tried to arrest Chairman Woo Won-sik.

CCTV captured 13 people, including 11 soldiers and two men in plain clothes.

In response, Acting Defense Minister Kim Sun-ho said soldiers from the Capital Defense Command were deployed to strengthen security around Hannam-dong, Seoul, where the president and the National Assembly speaker are located, at the request of the presidential security.

He explained that some of them were deployed to the presidential residence of the National Assembly and that they were not martial law forces.

The National Assembly Speaker's Office countered that Chairman Woo had never requested security and had never been notified in advance to the National Assembly.

The police plan to check the identity of the person in the video and the background of their deployment near the mission.

The police called in the 2nd Armored Brigade Commander of the 93rd Army yesterday to continue the investigation until night. The commander of the

brigade was supposed to be the head of the 'Investigation Division 2' that former intelligence commander Roh Sang-won tried to organize under the martial law command. On the day of martial law, the commander of the

brigade was found to have staged a preliminary plot against martial law at a hamburger restaurant in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, and suspicions were raised that he was trying to mobilize a tank unit at the time of martial law.

The police have also booked Bang Jung-hwan, an innovation planning officer at the Ministry of National Defense, who was mentioned as the deputy head of the second stage of the investigation, and Jung Sung-woo, the first chief of the counterintelligence agency, who was found to have received instructions regarding the control of the election committee.

Earlier, the police also notified Choo Kyung-ho, former floor leader of People's Power, who was accused of trying to block the passage of the martial law lifting resolution by convening people's power lawmakers to the headquarters, not the National Assembly, to attend today for investigation.

Police say they are coordinating the date of attendance with Choo.
