The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters held an unscheduled press conference and actively refuted the allegations that the police were mobilized as an "arrest aid" at the time of the emergency martial law.

Jeon Chang-hoon, director of the investigation planning division of the National Assembly, told reporters today (26th) that the allegations were not true, revealing the internal reporting and instruction process of the National Assembly and the request for manpower support from the military counterintelligence command.

First of all, Jeon admitted that he was asked to guide 10 detectives by counterintelligence agents on the day of martial law, and admitted that there was also a mention of "arrest."

However, 10 detectives from Yeongdeungpo Police Station who were dispatched to the scene at the time emphasized that they were not aware of arresting anyone, therefore they did not have handcuffs and did not meet counterintelligence personnel.

In addition, regarding the report that 50 police officers from Yeongdeungpo-gu were dispatched to the National Assembly under the order of the National Assembly on the day of martial law, he said that the detectives who were already waiting at the scene just ran after hearing the radio that the National Assembly fence was about to collapse.

The prosecution's special investigation headquarters, which investigates related allegations, called nine people, including officials from the National Assembly, and seized four mobile phones, including Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Assembly, on the 19th, and filed a quasi-appeal with the court on the 24th, saying the search and seizure were illegal.

In this regard, an official from the National Assembly explained that the prosecution's execution of the warrant as a reference in other cases without appointing Director Woo as a suspect is illegal and is trying to be judged by the court.
