The opposition-led motion to appoint three candidates for the Constitutional Court passed the plenary session of the National Assembly.

Four members of the ruling party also participated in the vote on the party's "absence of the vote," and attention is being paid to whether it will affect the vote on the impeachment of acting Han Deok-soo in the future.

The opposition-led motion for the appointment of Ma Eun-hyuk, Jeong Gye-seon, and Cho Han-chang as constitutional judges has crossed the threshold of the National Assembly.

The ruling party, which did not enter the confirmation hearing, made clear its opposition by not attending the plenary vote.

It is unreasonable to have two Democratic Party recommendations among the three.

It has also repeatedly emphasized that a candidate needs a presidential seal to be formally appointed, and Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who is only an acting president, should not exercise his personnel rights.

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: The lawmakers unanimously agreed when he expressed his intention not to participate in the hearing because he did not attend the hearing.]Despite the de facto party line of

{No vote', four ruling party lawmakers entered the voting hall.

Representatives Cho Kyung-tae, Kim Sang-wook, Kim Ye-ji, and Han Ji-ah have publicly announced that they will vote for the president's impeachment.

They emphasized that in order to overcome the impeachment, the ruling party should speed up the formation of constitutional judges in a self-determination posture.

Some predict that the departure from the ruling party will also affect the vote on the impeachment of the acting president.

[Kim Sang-wook / People's Power: The result is to destabilize the impeachment process and prevent it from going smoothly..]

National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik pressed Han, saying there is no reason not to exercise his right to appoint him, which is just a formal procedure.

[Won-Sik Woo / Speaker of the National Assembly: It is difficult to make excuses for the ruling and opposition parties to agree on procedural appointments. It's not even right.

On top of that, as the Democratic Party of Korea began to push for the impeachment of the acting president, the government and the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties were unable to take the first step.

Some point out that both the ruling party, which prioritizes legal and political logic over the general sentiment of the people, and the opposition party, which is consistent only with strong impeachment measures, are responsible for the national council.
