Han Deok-soo, acting president and prime minister, proposed by the Democratic Party of Korea alone, is expected to be put to a vote today (26th).
With the National Assembly holding a plenary session at 3 p.m., the Democratic Party plans to push for the handling of the impeachment bill reported by the plenary session yesterday.
According to the National Assembly Act, the impeachment bill will be scrapped if it is not voted on within 72 hours after 24 hours after the plenary session's report.
If National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik introduces the impeachment bill, it is expected to be an issue of how many people the quorum of the impeachment bill will be considered and the voting policy will be decided.
The ruling party claims more than 200 people applied to the president, and the opposition party claims more than 151 people applied to the Cabinet members, including the prime minister, as quorum.
