Among the Hamyang-Ulsan Expressway, the Changnyeong-Milyang section will open tomorrow (28th).
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that the 28.5km-long, four-lane highway, which runs from Jangmi-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do to Sanae-myeon, Miryang-si, will open at 10 a.m. tomorrow (28th).
It was completed more than eight years after the construction began in 2016 with a project cost of KRW 1.6832 trillion.
With this opening, the driving time between Changnyeong and Miryang will be significantly reduced from 63 minutes to 17 minutes.
As a result, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expected the movement between Changnyeong and Miryang to be fast and safe.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also announced that the Hamyang-Changnyeong section, which is an unopened section of the Hamyang-Ulsan Expressway, will be opened sequentially by 2026.
