This is because the Constitution strictly stipulates the president's impeachment requirements than other ordinary public officials.

The ruling party argues that acting president Han should follow the standard of impeachment of the president, as he is acting on behalf of the president.

On the other hand, the Democratic Party counters that a prime minister who is only an appointed position cannot be identified with a president who is directly elected by the people.

What is the reason for the impeachment that the opposition party claims?

There are three unconstitutional and illegal acts as prime minister and two acts as acting president after the impeachment of the president.

First of all, the opposition party took issue with the fact that, as prime minister, the president proposed the right to request reconsideration in the Special Prosecutor Chae Sang-byung or Kim's Special Prosecutor Act and assisted in the declaration of an unconstitutional emergency martial law.

The idea of joint state administration with former representative Han Dong-hoon of the People's Power was also included in the reason for impeachment, saying that it was an unconstitutional idea because the president remained in office at the time.

The reason for impeachment was that he avoided the recommendation of the so-called standing special prosecutor for civil war after becoming acting president and refused to appoint a constitutional judge.
