A real mother who encouraged her teenage daughter to engage in prostitution was sentenced to prison.

On the 26th, the Daejeon District Court's Cheonan Branch 1 Criminal Chamber 1 (Chief Judge Jung Eun-young) sentenced his biological mother A (42) and A's boyfriend B (48) to one year in prison for forcing their 13-year-old daughter to engage in prostitution and ordered a seven-year restriction on employment at child-related institutions.

Earlier in September last year, A was accused of sending an SNS message to his daughter C, saying, "Meet with your mother's boyfriend, have sex, and earn pocket money."

Mr. A's boyfriend, Mr. B, also sent a message to the victim, such as "It's good to get some money."

Mr. A is known to have stated that he committed this crime because he was angry when Ms. C kept asking for pocket money.

The court ruled, "The trauma and pain suffered by the victim child who received the immoral prostitution proposal must have been very large, and it would have negatively affected the formation of values and character development of the victim," adding, "Since the crime is extremely poor, severe punishment is inevitable."
