We're going to stop the leakage of key national technologies...Penalties of 1.5 billion → 6.5 billion increased

The government has decided to raise the protection wall to prevent the outflow of core national technologies such as semiconductors, bio, and shipbuilding.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy deliberated and decided on the "5th Comprehensive Plan on Prevention and Protection of Industrial Technology Leakage".

For core technology leak crimes, the government has decided to ease the criminal constituent requirements from target offenders to intentional offenders, raise fines from up to 1.5 billion won to 6.5 billion won, and raise the punitive damages limit from three to five times, respectively.

In order to cope with the recent technology leak method, the Minister of Industry has strengthened the order to suspend, prohibit, and restore unauthorized and unreported exports and mergers and acquisitions.
