Ruling Party Visits Chairman's Protest..."Required 200 votes for Acting Impeachment"

, claiming that the original impeachment is invalid due to the lack of a quorum of votes.

Behind the ruling party's "struggle"...Delayed President Yoon's impeachment trial?

"The ruling and opposition parties agreed in the first place..."It's contradictory that we're not appointed now."

The people's power ultimately boycotted the vote on the impeachment of acting Han Deok-soo, strongly protesting that the impeachment was "null and void."

The appointment of a constitutional judge, a key reason for impeachment, still presents "involvement," and it is also true that he faces considerable criticism and burden from inside and outside the party.

Ahead of the vote on the impeachment motion by Acting President Han Deok-soo, the leadership of the People's Power and senior lawmakers visited the National Assembly Speaker's Office as a group.

He emphasized that two-thirds of the registered lawmakers, equivalent to the president, are needed to impeach Han, and pushed that a majority vote as the Democratic Party claimed would undermine the authority of the National Assembly.

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: He goes into the plenary session and talks about his position on the quorum of votes. The Speaker has no authority over that.]

At the same time as not attending the plenary vote, it seems that it has actually entered a "tough" protesting that the source is invalid,
Analysts say that the ongoing impeachment trial of President Yoon influenced the decision to choose such a strategy despite criticism that it could face a "headwind" due to political turmoil and a vacuum in constitutional institutions.

For the ruling party, which has to take as long as possible to realize the judicial risk of representative Lee Jae-myung, the current "six-member system" of the Constitutional Court, which cannot be dismissed unless it is unanimously agreed, is not bad.

Han does not have the authority to appoint a constitutional judge, and the National Assembly, which passed the impeachment bill, is focusing on defense, saying that electing a judge is like a prosecutor appointing a judge.

However, given that the ruling and opposition parties agreed on the appointment of constitutional judges in the first place, some criticize that it is a "self-destruction" or a cowardly decision.

[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the Democratic Party (last month, 18th): We will finalize our recommendations by November 22nd and be appointed by the regular session of the National Assembly...]

In addition, it is a considerable burden for some in the party to call for the appointment of a constitutional judge.

[Kim Sang-wook / National People's Power: He avoided responsibility by not doing it even though he only had to passively appoint him. I think some people have reasons for impeachment as acting president...]

The People's Power points out that the Democratic Party is aiming for an early presidential election to cover up the judicial risk of Lee Jae-myung.

It also argues that it is impossible to appoint a constitutional judge according to the Constitution and law, but there are many criticisms that it is delaying the impeachment trial of President Yoon while waiting for the final conclusion of the Lee Jae-myung trial.
