Large-scale rallies calling for the early impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol are held in Gwanghwamun and around the Constitutional Court.

As counter-attacks against impeachment have also been announced, there is also a concern about severe traffic congestion in the city center.

Let's connect with reporters and hear more details.

Reporter Yang Dong-hoon, a pro-impeachment rally is predicted again today?

Yes, another large-scale rally will be held over the weekend to demand the immediate resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The Yoon Suk Yeol's emergency action, led by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and civic groups, will hold a 50,000-person rally at Gwanghwamun's synaptic pavilion from 4 p.m. today and march through the city, including the Constitutional Court and Myeong-dong.

They said the investigation and impeachment proceedings against President Yoon, who is suspected of being the head of the rebellion, are being delayed due to various obstruction, and stressed the need for an immediate arrest of President Yoon.

The civic group Candlelight Action, which has continued to insist on President Yoon's resignation, also decided to join the emergency action march mentioned earlier after holding a candlelight culture festival around the Constitutional Court at 2 p.m. to call for President Yoon's immediate dismissal.

The National Conference on the State of the University Student Situation will also hold an event near Gyeongbokgung Station to select the "worst moment of the year" over the declaration of emergency martial law, the rejection of the first impeachment bill, and President Yoon's refusal to investigate.

There will also be a counter-rally.

Conservative groups, including the Liberty Korea Party, will hold a large rally in front of the Donghwa Duty Free Shop in Gwanghwamun from 1 p.m.

They plan to call for the protection of President Yoon, saying that impeachment is invalid because the emergency martial law itself is legal.

The police said that severe congestion is expected in the area of the assembly, including Sejong-daero, Sajik-ro, and Yulgok-ro, and that more than 160 traffic police officers will be deployed to manage communication such as bypassing vehicles.

If possible, use public transportation such as subways, and if you are forced to use a vehicle, please check the traffic information in advance.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security plans to dispatch situation management officers to Gwanghwamun and Anguk stations to prevent safety accidents that can occur due to a surge in subway users.
