2024.12.30 PM 11:20
Prosecutors have asked the court to ban interviews except lawyers for former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was arrested and charged with engaging in a major mission of rebellion.

On the 27th, the prosecution requested the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Agreement Department 25, which was in charge of the first trial of former Minister Kim, to ban interviews with ordinary people other than lawyers.

Previously, the prosecution decided to ban interviews with former Minister Kim and ban the receipt and sending of letters to the public even at the investigation stage.

Former Minister Kim was accused of participating in the civil war, including sending armed troops to the National Assembly and the NEC along with President Yoon Suk Yeol and ordering the arrest of key figures.

According to Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Act, if there is a risk of running away or destroying evidence, the court may not allow the arrested defendant to be interviewed with others upon request by the prosecutor.
