Gyeonggi Province is focusing its efforts on building care services for the elderly using artificial intelligence and AI in preparation for entering a super-aged society.
Let me introduce Pocheon 'Gwanin-myeon AI Sarangbang', a representative elderly care service model in Gyeonggi-do.
This is reporter Choi Myung-shin.

It is Gwanin-myeon, Pocheon-si, located in the northernmost part of Gyeonggi-do.
The proportion of the population aged 65 or older is 47% of the total population in Myeon, which is three times higher than the proportion of the total elderly population in Gyeonggi-do.
However, the care environment is poor enough to travel an hour by car to the nearest welfare facility, Pocheon Senior Welfare Center.
This is why Gyeonggi-do Province selected Gwanin-myeon as the target site for the "AI Senior Care Town Pilot Project" in June last year.
The first "AI Sarangbang" in the province opened in Gwanin-myeon.
The small library was remodeled to create a space, and as the name suggests, AI care services for the elderly have been greatly strengthened.
With this smart touch table, you can enjoy more than 50 types of dementia prevention content, including AR augmented reality sports devices and step exercise mats.
Educational kiosks have also been installed to help you become familiar with non-face-to-face orders or unmanned calculations.
[Kanghyang / Gwanin-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do: It's my first time doing it, but it's all fun. I think it's going to be an exercise and it's going to prevent dementia...]
[Choi Kyu-min / Gwanin-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do: It's fun and I'm very happy as if I'm going back to a young world.]
A dedicated manager resides in the AI Sarangbang to help seniors use the program.
[Ahn Hye-in / AI Sarangbang IT Manager: We help you to use and familiarize yourself with digital devices in your daily life]
Gyeonggi Province plans to steadily expand and develop care for the elderly using AI.
