For the first time in constitutional history, the Crime Investigation Office of high-ranking government officials investigating the emergency martial law situation has launched an arrest warrant for the incumbent president.
The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit said it entered the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul at around 8 a.m. today (3rd) and began executing an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Earlier today, at around 6:15 a.m., YTN reporters caught the departure of a vehicle carrying public prosecutors from Gwacheon Government Complex.
Police deployed 46 task force units and 2,800 experiences around the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to maintain order.
The validity of President Yoon's arrest warrant, which includes charges of rebellion and abuse of authority, expires on the 6th.
