Hyundai Motor, Kia Breaks Sales Record for 2nd consecutive Year in U.S.

Hyundai Motor and Kia broke their all-time best performance in the U.S. for the second consecutive year last year.

Hyundai Motor's U.S. sales unit said its total sales in 2024 were 836,802 units, up 4% from a year ago, the highest annual sales record ever.

Hyundai Motor's sales in December last year also increased 4% from a year ago to 78,498, and eco-friendly cars such as Santa Fe hybrids and Tucson hybrids drove the growth.

Kia U.S. Sales Corp. also said it sold 796,488 units in 2024, up 2% from 2023.

In particular, it explained that annual EV sales were up 74% from a year ago and EV9 sales were up 1,869%, the highest ever.

Kia sold 73,303 units in December last year, up 22% from a year ago, it added.
