Ahead of the expiration of the Yoon Suk Yeol president's arrest warrant, participants in the pro-impeachment and anti-impeachment rally gathered near the official residence to continue the rally.

In particular, tensions rose near the official residence as crowds from both sides gathered at once in the afternoon, raising fears of clashes.

Reporter Kim Yi-young reports.

A police task force bus was built near Hannam Elementary School in Seoul covered with white snow.

As anti-impeachment citizens also flocked near the rally site of pro-impeachment citizens in Yoon Suk Yeol, police set up fences for fear of clashes to separate the two sides.

With the police and the fence in between, citizens gathered on one side calling for the president's arrest and citizens supporting the president on the other.Citizens in favor of impeachment

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit quickly re-executes arrest warrants to secure President Yoon's whereabouts,

The Presidential Security Service has been holding an all-nighter rally, calling for cooperation.

[So Kyung-joon / Paju City, Gyeonggi Province: It's shocking that the military and police are working like soldiers for the president, not the country, starting with the security service.... The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit is also responding too lukewarmly and weakly....]

Near the International Lutheran Church, just 3-400 meters away, supporters of President Yoon continued to rally at night, shouting for impeachment and invalidation of arrest warrants, saying they would stay with the president until the end.

Dozens of wreaths with ribbons supporting President Yoon were placed next to them.

[Kim Moon-seok / Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do: I think it's right that the central law should have issued a warrant first. And as far as I know, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit does not have the right to investigate. I think it was hasty for the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to come.

In the afternoon, as people suddenly flocked to the venue of the pro- and anti-government rally, and as loud voices came and went, the police increased their manpower to prevent physical clashes.

As the expiration date of the arrest warrant is just around the corner, the war of nerves between the two sides is getting stronger and the tension is rising.
