Northern Gyeonggi-do and northern Gangwon-do special snow warning, 'up to 10cm'...Up to 8cm of snow in Seoul, too.

As snow begins in the metropolitan area, heavy snow warnings are gradually expanding in northeastern Gyeonggi Province and northern Yeongseo, Gangwon Province.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that 1 to 3cm of snow fell in northeastern Gyeonggi Province, including Paju, Gimpo, Dongducheon and Yangju, while snow is gradually expanding to northern Gangwon Province and other metropolitan areas.

The Korea Meteorological Administration issued a preliminary warning for heavy snowfall today, saying that up to 10cm of snow will fall in inland Gangwon Province, mountains, and northeastern Gyeonggi Province, and up to 8cm of snow will fall in Seoul.

This snow will gradually expand and fall strongly until the morning, especially in Gangwon and some parts of Gyeonggi Province, wet and strong snow of 1 to 3cm per hour is expected, so caution against damage to facilities and sliding accidents is needed.

The snow will gradually subside from the Seoul metropolitan area late this afternoon or evening and will stop for most of the night,
