The final vote for the new chairman of the Korean Medical Association, the only legal doctors' group, will be held for two days from today to tomorrow.

Kim Taek-woo, president of the National Council of Provincial Doctors and Ju Su-ho, head of the Future Medical Forum, who is classified as a hardliner of the government, will face off in the final round.

In the first round of voting from the 2nd to the 4th, candidate Kim won 27.66% and candidate Joo won 26.17%, ranking first and second.

Voting closes at 6 p.m. tomorrow, and the winner will be announced tomorrow evening.

The election comes after former chairman Lim Hyun-taek, who took office in May last year, was impeached in six months amid controversy over verbal abuse and communication.
