The Democratic Party of Korea held a general meeting of lawmakers on holidays and demanded that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit re-execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon as soon as possible.

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the National Assembly, said in his public statement that it is disappointing to see the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit passing away, and pressed him not to hesitate to fulfill his responsibilities.

He also pointed out that no disciplinary action was taken against the president even after a month of martial law, and accused the ruling party of being unable to avoid criticism of accomplices.

Spokesperson Han Min-soo also told President Yoon in a written briefing that no former president in any previous government has refused to execute court-issued warrants and that he should comply with them.

On the other hand, the power of the people is that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the court are working outside their authority.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit does not have the right to investigate allegations of rebellion, and it is unfair for the court to specify exceptions to the Criminal Procedure Act in the warrant.
