Government to provide one-year college tuition for Jeju Air victims' families

The government has decided to support university education expenses for the families of victims and rescuers for a year in connection with the Jeju Air plane disaster.

The Ministry of Education announced today that it will support university education expenses to comfort the victims and their families of the Jeju Air plane disaster and ease their financial burden.

Among the victims of the disaster and their immediate dependents, siblings, and spouses, domestic university students and 2025 students are eligible for support.

We plan to support the full amount of college tuition regardless of income for one year from the first semester of the 2025 school year, and the application for payment will be made through the Korea Scholarship Foundation.

The Ministry of Education explained that it plans to guide those eligible for the payment after checking the size of college students among the victims' families.
