NVIDIA Jensen Huang "Launching 'Cosmos' Platform for Robots and Self-Driving"

2025.01.07 PM 02:14
AI chip leader Nvidia has announced that it is launching a platform to accelerate the development of robots and autonomous driving.

CEO Jensen Huang said in his keynote speech at CES 2025, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition in Las Vegas that he will launch a new physical AI development platform, Cosmos.

'Physical AI' is an AI system that interacts with the physical world such as robots and autonomous vehicles, and Cosmos is a platform that enables robots and vehicles to learn vast amounts of data in reality.

CEO Hwang said, "The era of robots is approaching, but not all developers or experts can access the resources needed to develop robots," and stressed, "The development of robots or autonomous vehicles is usually time-consuming and expensive, and we will solve such problems."

"The era of ChatGPT for robotics is approaching," he said. "Like large-scale language models (LLMs), cosmos will be the basis for the development of robots and autonomous vehicles."

CEO Hwang has been the keynote speaker at CES for the first time in eight years since 2017, and the venue, which can accommodate 12,000 people, was crowded even before entering.
