People's Power has appointed former lawmaker Yoon Hee-sook as the new president of the Yeouido Institute, a party think tank.

Senior spokesman Shin Dong-wook met with reporters after the emergency committee and said he voted to approve Yoon's approval.

Former lawmaker Yoon, a former member of the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and considered an economic expert in the party, was elected in Seocho-gap, Seoul, in the 21st general election, but later resigned himself from his post due to suspicions about his father's real estate speculation, and failed in the 22nd general election by running in Jung-dong and Seongdong-gap in Seoul.
