I think it snowed a lot.

Please tell us the atmosphere of the scene.

[Reporter]
Yes, the snow that fell hard until early this morning is now in a lull for a while.

Originally, downtown Jeonju doesn't snow that much.

As you can see, there is a lot of snow everywhere.

The heavy snow warning continues to expand mainly in the Honam region.

A lot of snow is expected in the Jeolla region and the west coast of Chungnam by the day after tomorrow.
Strong and heavy snow of 3 to 5 cm per
hours.

The accumulated snowfall from the night of the 6th to this morning was 15.4cm in Bokheung-myeon, Sunchang, 13.3cm near Muju Deogyusan Mountain, and 12.1cm in Julpo-myeon, Buan.

Until this morning, no direct casualties or damage to facilities due to heavy snow had been reported yet.

However, some city bus routes in the Jeonju area are not operating due to snow, which is expected to cause inconvenience on the way to work.

There's a lot of news about the snow.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) expects 10 to 20 centimeters more snow in North Jeolla Province by Friday and up to 20 centimeters more by late night the day after tomorrow on the west coast of North Jeolla Province.

It's not just the snow, but the coldest cold wave this winter?

[Reporter]
Yes. That's right.

Along with the heavy snow, an unwelcome guest cold wave appeared.

The current morning temperature in Jeonju is minus 2 degrees Celsius,

It feels colder than the actual temperature as the cold wind blows strongly.

The temperature is relatively high here in downtown Jeonju.

Other areas are very cold.

The lowest temperature this morning was minus 6.1 degrees Celsius in Jangsu, North Jeolla Province, and minus 4.0 degrees Celsius in Sunchang.

It's colder tomorrow, so you have to be prepared.

In the midst of the strongest cold wave, heavy snow was predicted to be similar to the heavy snow in early winter on the west coast.

The Korea Meteorological Administration expects heavy and strong snow to fall on the west coast in a short period of time
The possibility of damage to
facilities could increase, he said, asking people to pay special attention to inspecting facilities such as greenhouses.
