I can't vote for the president of the KFA today...Heo Jung-moo's provisional injunction against election ban 'citation'

The election for the 55th president of the Football Association, which was scheduled for today (8th), will not be held on time.

The Seoul Central District Court cited Huh Jung-moo's "application for an injunction against the election of the president of the Korea Football Association" yesterday, a day before the vote.

The court stated that there are "significant procedural violations" in the ongoing elections that would considerably infringe on fairness and affect the outcome.

He also stressed that the 194 electors selected by lottery consisted of procedures in which transparency and fairness were not confirmed, and that if the election proceeds as it is, subsequent disputes are likely to be triggered.

With the court's judgment on the eve of the election, the Korea Football Association said that the election date has been temporarily postponed and that it will be announced as soon as the schedule is set.

Earlier, candidate Huh Jung-moo applied for a provisional injunction to the court on the 30th of last month, saying that the election for the president of the Korea Football Association is unfair and opaque for certain people.
