Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman-South Korea-U.S. Combined Forces Commander "Firm Union readiness"

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Kim Myung-soo met with South Korea-U.S. Combined Forces Commander Jayveer Brunson, who visited the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the first time, and asked North Korea to maintain a preparedness under close cooperation.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said that Chairman Kim made the remarks after holding a welcoming ceremony for Commander Brunson at the Defense Ministry's training camp today (9), emphasizing the ironclad South Korea-U.S. alliance and solid joint defense posture.

In response, Commander Brunson responded that maintaining a firm joint readiness is key to the defense of the Republic of Korea, and stability in the region depends on continuous development of security cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan.

The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation and cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. through regular and continuous communication.
