Park Dae-sung, who brutally killed a teenage woman with a weapon on the streets of the city at dawn, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial.

The court pointed out Park Dae-sung's attitude of not only committing murder but also not reflecting at all, judging him guilty of trying to commit additional crimes.

Suncheon Branch of the Gwangju District Court, which was in charge of the first trial, sentenced Park Dae-sung, who was arrested and charged, to life imprisonment.

Above all, a woman who was the only child of a family and tried to take the first step in society died brutally, and the pain of the bereaved families and other victims was great.

He even pointed out that he did not reflect on the investigator's question, saying he laughed or even made jokes.

The first trial court found Park Dae-sung guilty of murder as well as other charges of "preparation for murder" that he tried to commit.

Immediately after the crime, he was found guilty of trying to hurt someone by hiding a weapon and entering bars and karaoke rooms.

Earlier, the prosecution demanded the death penalty for Park Dae-sung, but the court sentenced him to life imprisonment in consideration of the Supreme Court precedent and the equity of similar cases, saying the death penalty is an extremely exceptional punishment for the judicial system.

The prosecution plans to review Park Dae-sung's ruling and decide whether to appeal.
