The strongest cold wave of this winter has come.

The temperature felt in the central region reached around minus 20 degrees Celsius, so when I left the water bottle and cooked ramen outside, it froze in a few hours.

This winter's strongest cold spell on the way to work.

In the fierce wind, citizens rush to step with their gloves and hats covered and crouched.

With a strong chill of minus 40 degrees Celsius coming down from the upper floor, Seoraksan was the coldest in the country this morning at minus 25.1 degrees, Daegwallyeong was minus 16.9 degrees, and Seoul was minus 10.2 degrees, recording the lowest temperature this winter in many parts of the country.

The wind was also strong, so the wind chill fell below minus 30 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, and it reached minus 17.8 degrees Celsius in Seoul.

The water bottle outside as an experiment in the extreme cold completely froze in three hours.

YTN reporters poured water into cup noodles at around 6 a.m. and placed them on the asphalt floor, and in about four hours, the noodles were frozen and the chopsticks were floating in the air.

Even in the middle of the day, the wind chill is below minus 15 degrees Celsius, so it is not melted and frozen like a model.

Most of the country was stuck in the freezing cold all day, with the highest temperature in Seoul standing at -7.6 degrees Celsius.

With the cold wave warning extended to parts of Honam and Yeongnam, the extreme cold will continue until tomorrow morning.

The bitter cold is expected to rise until the morning of the weekend and gradually increase in temperature from the afternoon.
