South Korea has tentatively moved its embassy in Libya to Tunisia, due to security concerns following last Sunday's deadly terrorist attack on the mission.
Seoul's foreign ministry said on Tuesday it closed the embassy temporarily and extracted the staff to Tunisia where the mission continues consular services. About 30 South Korean citizens currently reside in Libya, according to the ministry.
Amid growing concerns over security conditions in the Middle East country, the ministry has instructed its diplomats to rotate between Tripoli and Tunis every two weeks since July last year.
