Iran, under which Israel has been hit by a large-scale retaliatory airstrike, has indicated that it will not act immediately, saying it will respond at the "right time."

Emphasizing the importance of a ceasefire between Gaza and Lebanon rather than retaliation, it seems to be trying to avoid an all-out war.

Iran has claimed that Israel's nearly four-hour attack has only received "limited damage."

"Iran has the right to respond legally and legitimately at the right time," he said.

Iran continued to say that a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon is more important than retaliation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi also did not immediately mention a response in a phone call with his Egyptian and Qatari counterparts, saying, "All responses will be made in due course."

There are no hard-line expressions such as "vengeance fire" and "blood price" that have been used in recent months.

Western media, including the Financial Times, analyzed that Iran would not immediately retaliate when it sees such a reaction.

Some observers say that they are trying to avoid an all-out war, especially holding their breath to watch the outcome of the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

The New York Times, citing Middle East experts, predicted that Iran would try to "turn the tide on Israel and turn its military weakness into a diplomatic opportunity" by reducing the fallout from the raid and pushing for a ceasefire.

Iran has asked for a U.N. Security Council meeting to hold Israel accountable.
