Gyeonggi-do Province said it has installed sound insulation facilities in 46 villages in Daeseong-dong, Paju, located 500 meters from the military demarcation line and suffering damage from North Korean broadcasting against the South.
Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province Kim Dong-yeon said in a meeting with the villagers, "Of course, it is about the lives and safety of the residents, so I tried to resolve it quickly as the first priority, and I feel rewarded to keep my promise."
Along with the installation of sound insulation facilities, the province created four shelter spaces in Camp Greaves for treatment such as psychological stability and hearing loss, and provided medical services to 283 people by putting in a health examination vehicle and a "mind safety bus."
In addition, 24 rooms in Paju Campus of Gyeonggi Future Education were designated as temporary accommodations.
