Police have caught Pakistani people who came into Korea with visas for falsifying invitations from domestic companies.

They entered the country as if they had been invited by a domestic small and medium-sized company for business, and then got a job at a factory, but fake documents pointed out that the visa issuance system was breached.

Last May, a man with luggage in both hands leaves the airport.

I am a Pakistani citizen who entered the country with a short-term visa, saying that he was invited by a domestic small and medium-sized company for business.

However, the man was caught working at a domestic factory.

The invitation letter and the purpose of entry were all false.

From June last year to last month, 29 Pakistani people who entered the country with visas issued with forged documents were caught by police.

They handed over $10,000 to $13,000 to local brokers for illegal entry and $3,000 to document counterfeiting books.

The counterfeit books decorated the documents as if they had been invited by a domestic company.

It is an official document that proves that companies have invited them to enter the country.

They easily forged these official documents to obtain real visas.

In order to avoid being caught forging, we limited the number of people invited per company to three or four, wrote down the mobile phone number on the document, pretended to be an invited company, and even received a phone call from overseas missions.

[Jang Bo-eun / Director of International Crime Investigation Division: Overseas missions are reviewing (visa) only with documents, but there is a limit to document screening, so we need to improve it to issue it after checking whether the invitation is true in Korea]

The purpose of entry for the Pakistani people was to get a job.

Most of those who worked at manufacturing plants applied for refugees falsely after 90 days of stay and stayed in Korea.

He lied about being politically persecuted because he is an opposition party member, but even if he is not recognized as a refugee, he can continue to stay in Korea while proceeding with administrative litigation and other procedures.

[Yoon Jun-yong / Law firm lawyer: If it appears that the lawsuit is being abused, the sentence is definitely confirmed by the criminal case, or if there is such a case, the execution (forced departure) is carried out for sure....]

Police arrested four people forging documents and arrested one person.

In addition, 18 Pakistani people were arrested, and 11 others whose whereabouts have not been identified were wanted.
