Jung Won-oh, head of Seongdong-gu District Office, said on social media early this morning, "We decided that the event could no longer be held due to growing concerns over safety accidents yesterday, and asked the organizers to end the event voluntarily," adding, "We ask for your understanding as it is a measure for safety above all else."

Netizens criticized the organizers, asking if the event should have been held at the entrance of a narrow alley in the first place.

In July, the performance of famous DJ Peggy Gu, which was scheduled to be held at a concert hall in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, was also suspended due to safety concerns.

This is because there were safety concerns, with too many people flocking and some audiences complaining of difficulty breathing.
