President Yoon Suk Yeol reportedly met with National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and Seoul National Police Agency Commissioner Kim Bong-sik before declaring the emergency martial law and ordered them to occupy the National Assembly, the Election Commission, and the Democratic Party of Korea headquarters.
In fact, on the night of the 3rd, YTN secured footage of dozens of police officers being sent to the Democratic Party's headquarters shortly after the emergency decree was issued.

At around 11:15 p.m. on the 3rd, after President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law, the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Korea in Yeouido, Seoul.
I thought it was as quiet as usual, but after a while, dozens of police came rushing in.
About 20 police personnel enter the parking lot in front of our main gate.
CCTV footage of the Democratic Party of Korea at the time showed the police suddenly blocking the entrance and the party officials rushing to the door.

Within 15 minutes of the martial law commander's proclamation, the police, who flocked, stayed in front of the headquarters for about 30 minutes.
As a result of the YTN report, it was confirmed that the police did not dispatch to the People's Power Party, where lawmakers were gathered, under the order of floor leader Choo Kyung-ho.
It is suspected that the police have moved accordingly, with the Democratic Party of Korea reportedly among the targets that President Yoon Suk Yeol ordered police chief Jo Ji-ho and Seoul police chief Kim Bong-sik to take control before declaring martial law.
The police special investigation team said it was investigating to find out why police personnel were dispatched to the Democratic Party of Korea at the time.
Commissioner Cho is also accused of ordering the National Election Commission to deploy police immediately after the declaration of martial law, and it seems necessary to investigate the route and background of ordering the additional police to be deployed not only to the National Assembly but also to the opposition party headquarters.
