Teenagers who distributed videos of sexually assaulting and filming on their mobile phones after drinking alcohol to female teenagers of their age were sentenced to heavy punishment in the first trial.
The Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Court sentenced two people, including 18-year-old A, to a long term of five years in prison and a short term of four years for special rape.
In addition, three other teenagers who committed sexual assault or threatened the victim by receiving video of the crime were sentenced to one and a half years in prison, three years of probation, and six months of imprisonment and two years of probation, respectively.
The court said that a heavy sentence is inevitable even considering that he is a young boy, given the circumstances of the major defendants' pre-planning and execution of the crime and the circumstances after the crime.
