The European Union, the EU have added seven individuals and seven corporations involved in Iran's support of Russian missiles and drones to the sanctions list.

EU foreign ministers held a meeting in Luxembourg on the 14th local time and said the decision was made.

The sanctions included Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Seyed Hamzeh Galandari, as well as senior officials from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps involved in the production and delivery of ballistic missiles.

Among the corporations, three Iranian state-owned airlines, Iran Airlines, Saha Air, and Hanma Air, were subject to sanctions.

This is the first time the EU has imposed related sanctions since allegations were raised that Iran supplies ballistic missiles to Russia.

The EU pointed out that these airlines have repeatedly been used to transfer Iranian UAVs and related technologies to Russia.

If added to the sanctions list, assets in the EU will be frozen and entry into 27 EU countries will be banned.
