◇ Interest Line: Issue and People are preparing a special order for Part 2 today. Earlier, we finished the interview with Chung Geun-sik, a progressive candidate for superintendent of education. Next, we will interview Cho Jeon-hyuk of the conservative camp for the Seoul Superintendent of Education by-election. As expected, as soon as the interview begins, I'll set a timer for 14 minutes. We invited Cho Jeon-hyuk to the candidate studio. Please come in.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Hello.

◇ Nice to meet you. He's here. Isn't it when you're doing something outside?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: But I like to come to the broadcasting station.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: Thank you. I will ask the same question to candidate Cho. Tell me about your educational philosophy.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: There are two main things. One is the problem of content. One is the problem of attitude, but first of all, the problem with the content is this. Usually, when we talk about education, we talk about intelligence. But I think the order is wrong. I think it's a change. So our main title is that if we do something, we're going to change it to change education.

◈ Choi Soo-young: It has a very significant meaning.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: A sieve has a warm personality factor on top of a strong body and a healthy mind. Next, I think it is a holistic education to build wisdom rather than knowledge. I think that change education is important. Next, the question of attitude is actually, don't we say that the superintendent of education is then a fight between progress and conservatism? But I think this is a little different from liberal conservatives in a political sense. The aspect is this. I am a person who believes that content that can cross the school fence as educational content must cross the school fence, and that only social consensus and consensus and theoretically or empirically verified and verified content must cross the school fence. The reason is that our students are so precious and like white sheets, so their lives are completely different depending on how they draw them. You have to follow them carefully. People who are progressive usually think that it's okay for students to be subject to a little experiment, and that schools are okay for a laboratory. So I want to ask parents if they would choose between liberal or conservative education and choose a person who has such a cautious attitude toward our children as a superintendent or a person who makes our children a subject of experimentation and bold attempts. I'm telling you this.

◇ Profit line: Okay.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Then what do you think is the biggest problem with Seoul education that you see?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: I don't think the biggest problem is quality control. Quality control is not in place... I think public education is actually in this service industry. I think the superintendent is the CEO of the service industry. But now, when Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon was present, he didn't manage the quality at all. In fact, the owner of the ramen restaurant didn't do any quality control while riding a big public system called Seoul Education to manage the quality of his ramen. As a representative failure, in a way, children's educational background has deteriorated. And after the collapse of the school authority, the school became a very unsafe and unstable place. So, when evaluating Seoul education, it will be possible to evaluate it from a wide variety of angles, but from any angle, I can't see any improvement.

◇ Profit line: Okay. Seoul education will be like this. Please briefly explain the candidate's main pledge.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Actually, there are a lot. There are a lot, but first of all, this is what I'm thinking. I talked about quality control earlier, but we need to manage the quality of public education. To do that, there's someone called the father of American business administration. There's a management scientist named Pete Druck, and he said something very insightful. He said that if you do something, you have to measure it to evaluate it, and you have to be evaluated to improve it. So I talked about many aspects of education earlier, and it's very important to measure many of them. In the case of our children, we need to properly diagnose their educational background so that we can know their strengths and weaknesses, right? Through that, you can make up for what you lack and make use of your strengths. And if you look at schools, I think you can measure the actual state of school violence. And not only that, but our children's mental health these days is actually very serious. If we compare it over the past decade, the suicide rate of children and adolescents has doubled, which is a heartbreaking story. I think it's important for the education office to properly diagnose this problem and prevent it from fitting in advance after having a tragic situation like that for our children. These days, but looking at it, this AI technology is very advanced. With just one or five AI questions, I make a lot of diagnoses quite accurately. Anyway, through that, we will diagnose our children's mental conditions from time to time and dramatically improve the quality of this education. That's what I'm thinking.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: I understand that I made a pledge with that awareness of the problem.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Among them, I will do this if I get elected within the term of office?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: The first thing I can do is that the Student Human Rights Ordinance has a real problem. It is intended to abolish the Student Human Rights Ordinance and change it to the Student Rights Duty Ordinance. What's wrong with the Student Human Rights Ordinance is that only the rights and the rights of students and the procedures for relieving those rights are unilaterally described. On the other hand, in the provisions of student rights and obligations, rights must come with obligations and responsibilities. It teaches in a balanced way that freedom also comes with obligations and responsibilities. That's why our children are actually like this. In fact, freedom and rights are demanded by themselves, even if no one teaches them. On the other hand, responsibilities and obligations are followed by school rules throughout our school life.follow the school rulesBy following social norms, it gradually became embodied in its own body and grew into a so-called republican citizen and cultural citizen in a democratic society. So I think this part is much more educational and I think we should change it like that.

◇ Profitship: Yes. But the abolition of the Student Human Rights Ordinance was actually passed by the Seoul Metropolitan Council, right?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: It was passed, and the superintendent of education has now filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court. If I become the superintendent of education now, it will pass immediately if I drop the lawsuit.

◇ Profit line: Okay.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Many people are curious about this pledge to revive the paper-delivered evaluation for elementary schools.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: No, but I've never told you that it's a paper-written test. Don't people be mistaken that if you complete the diagnostic evaluation, you're going to make a relative evaluation of the test that's all lined up? But if you look at it these days, it's like this. There's no evaluation of this until the elementary school over there. There are no middle school students. Then, if you started evaluating from the second year of middle school, and suddenly started evaluating again in the second year of middle school, parents will be in a mental breakdown from then on. If my child is only this bad or not, if you try to use your hands then, it's already too late. So that's the aspect that I can't manage the quality. So the way to do it is that parents with money go to academies, pay, and take so-called level tests. Does this make any sense? Why do I have to take the level test at the academy? Why don't you get a level test from school? No, and teachers will also have customized education for children based on what standards. How can you give me customized education when it's dark about children?

◇ Profit line: Okay. How do you see the reality these days when complaints are rampant in the classroom?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: In the end, I think it's because the teaching authority has collapsed again. I think this is true because there are parts where children ignore teachers, parents ignore teachers, have causes, and do not recognize them at all. In fact, I think it is important to create a culture where the school recognizes its authority and children and parents recognize the authority again.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: We have about four minutes left now.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Since you mentioned the difference about former Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon earlier, I have this difference about the rival candidate Jeong Geun-sik.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: This is okay, this is different for me.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Candidate Jung Geun-sik, by the way, what's very impressive about me is that he volunteered to be the avatar of Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: He said he wasn't.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Cho Hee-yeon's fault. Actually, the election was held this time because of Cho Hee-yeon's own criminal act, so don't you take this money of 56 billion won and vote now? It costs me 56 billion won. If I think about all that money, I'll be a waste. Nevertheless, she is covering up Cho Hee-yeon's fault. So I'm sorry that I violated the law, but I say that it's not wrong in itself. But isn't it illegal to hire Cho Hee-yeon from teachers of the KTU that she was sentenced to the Supreme Court? Six people are hired, and this is a very malicious crime. And how many young people are now waiting after taking the appointment exam with them to become teachers? I think young people will be punished for breaking all that fairness.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: Then since you said something that's not right, is it okay among the other candidates' pledges?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: It's okay. I think I can accept things like math science convergence education. Medical school concentration is something that I sympathize with.

◇ Interest line: I see. The reason why I have to vote for Cho Jeon-hyuk, the next superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Because this is relative. I'm much more prepared than Chung Geun-sik. Until now, candidate Jeong Geun-sik has not been active in education at all. It's the person who suddenly appears after ta-da.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: Are you prepared a lot?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: I've been an educational citizen for 20 years. And even when I was a member of the National Assembly, I only spent four years in the standing committee for education. The Presidential Transition Committee of the Presidential Standing Committee also laid the foundation for national education policy in various fields of education and society, and most recently, I designed the education welfare policy in Seoul while chairing the Seoul Innovation Fair Education Committee appointed by Mayor Oh Se-hoon.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: Even if you do, your term is short because it's a by-election. It's a year and eight months. Will you be able to do well during that period?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: So if you can do something for a year and 8 months now, one of them will be either God or a con artist. . . I can lay the foundation for doing well. And there are a lot of things that have been wasted on various budgets during the days of Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon. I think I can get that right in a year and eight months, and I think I can get that kind of money to fill our kids' heads and get them to improve their educational environment.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Actually, the early voting rate is very low right now, so some say that the total turnout will not exceed 20% this time, so what are you going to focus on and appeal now ahead of tomorrow's voting day?

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: In fact, don't the people say that education is so important? So anyway, this election is not a year and eight-month election, and in fact, it is very easy to re-elect the superintendent of education once elected. So this could be a 10-year election of five years and eight months or nine years and eight months over there. That doesn't mean that I'll be elected and win the third term, but anyway, this is just as important. I would like to ask you to participate in the vote a lot because it is not a year and eight month election that determines 10 years.

◇ Lee Ik-seon: And then we have 30 seconds left. Please say something briefly.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Actually, I've been preparing a lot since I came out two years ago. I'm a really prepared candidate because the camp was held two years ago and now I've been preparing for what to do in the next two years with many education experts without breaking up there. I'm telling you to trust me and leave it to me.

◇ Profit line: Okay. Thank you. The alarm went off. We have an election for the superintendent of education tomorrow, but unlike other by-elections with political party candidates, we prepared an interview with the two candidates on YTN FM because they were too under the spotlight. Candidate Jeong Geun-sik ended the interview by phone, and candidate Cho Jeon-hyuk, who is next to him, appeared. It was with Cho Jeon-hyuk, the candidate for superintendent of education in Seoul. Thank you.

◈ Choi Soo-young: Thank you very much.

☆ Cho Jeon-hyuk: Yes, thank you.
