A suspected landmine was reported at around 8:30 a.m. today (19th) in a residential area in Dongsong-eup, Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do.Shortly after the

report, police and firefighters were dispatched to control the scene, and an investigation by the military explosives handling team identified it as simple scrap metal.The

military authorities asked nearby military units or police not to contact or arbitrarily remove suspected explosive objects such as landmines or shells.
