Samsung beats LG, KIA and Korea Series for the first time in 31 years

The Samsung Lions have advanced to the Korean Series for the first time in nine years.

Samsung beat LG 1-0 with Kang Min-ho's winning solo home run in the eighth inning in Game 4 of the playoffs at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul.

Samsung, the second-ranked team in the regular league who passed the playoffs with a 3-1 record, advanced to the Korean Series for the first time in nine years since 2015.

Samsung will enter its final schedule to determine the champion of this season's baseball from the 21st against No. 1 KIA, which went straight to the Korean Series.

It is the first time in 31 years that Samsung and KIA will face each other in the Korean Series since 1993.
