The union of Seoul National University Hospital will go on strike indefinitely from the 31st.

The union of Seoul National University Hospital said it chose to go on strike because it was not accepted to block the reduction of public beds, stop the transfer of responsibility for medical disturbances, and improve wages and working conditions, which were demanded in negotiations with the management.

The union criticized the Yoon Suk Yeol government's decision to reduce the number of beds at higher general hospitals by pushing for medical reforms, which requires Seoul National University hospitals to reduce their beds by 15%, but the number of public beds is still only 9.7%.

He then raised his voice that reducing public beds further would ruin public health care.

He also urged hospital workers to recruit essential workers and improve treatment, saying the medical crisis triggered by the confrontation between the government and doctors was shaking with wage and employment insecurity.
