The fire broke out at around 1:25 p.m. in a 14-story apartment building in Hwajeong-dong, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.

As the smoke spread, 34 residents who were spending weekends at home urgently fled to the rooftop and the first floor.

A woman in her 40s who lived in a house on fire complained of smoke inhalation pain after evacuation and was taken to a hospital.

Fire authorities believe the fire broke out in the living room of the house due to electrical factors.

A 20-story building in Beomcheon-dong, Busan, also caught fire around 9 a.m.

Fortunately, the building was almost empty because it was the weekend, and no one was injured due to the activation of sprinklers.

Fire authorities believe the fire started on the front of the outdoor space on the third floor and plan to conduct a joint inspection.

Two moving workers who were removing the outdoor unit from the height of the eighth floor of the apartment fell to the ground with the outdoor unit.

A worker in his 50s eventually died, and a worker in his 60s is also being treated for serious injuries, and police are investigating the accident.
