The meeting between President Yoon Suk Yeol and Representative Han Dong-hoon of the People's Power is just a day away.

We will meet at the presidential office in Yongsan tomorrow to find a solution to the political situation.

The dispute between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to peak this week as suspicions of First Lady Kim Gun-hee and judicial risks of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung devour all issues during the parliamentary audit.

I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Na Hye-in, what time will President Yoon and Representative Han Dong-hoon meet tomorrow?

[Reporter]
We are supposed to meet at 4:30 p.m. at the presidential office in Yongsan.

Initially, representative Han Dong-hoon wanted a one-on-one meeting with President Yoon, but Presidential Chief of Staff Chung Jin-seok decided to attend the meeting.

It is reported that the president's office demanded the presence of chief of staff Jeong, and Han proposed a four-way meeting, saying that Park Jung-ha, the chief of staff of the party, should also be present.

Supreme Council member Kim Jong-hyuk, who is considered a close ally, said in a broadcast interview that the president's office responded uncomfortablely to this and was organized into a three-way meeting.

First of all, representative Han said that it is not important without attendance, but the president's office is still in a "meeting" and representative Han still describes the meeting as "single-handed."

The core agenda is likely to be the issue of First Lady Kim Gun-hee.Attention is focusing on whether President Yoon will accept the three demands made earlier by Representative Kim

: suspension of external activities, personnel reform of the Presidential Office, and cooperation with the investigation process.

The opposition party is raising the level of its offensive targeting Kim to the maximum ahead of the meeting.

At a press conference in the morning, Democratic Party Secretary-General Kim Yoon-deok said, "The issue of First Lady Kim is no longer to be resolved by an apology," and argued that President Yoon and Representative Han should decide whether to accept the special prosecution at the meeting.

Please also deliver the news of the parliamentary audit that has turned a turning point.

[Reporter]
Yes, the parliamentary audit, which began on the 7th, entered the third and second half of this week.

Most standing committees are preparing for a final round of comprehensive audits, with the opposition party targeting Kim's suspicions and the ruling party targeting the judicial risks of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung.

Kang Hye-kyung, who exposed Kim's "suspicious intervention in the nomination" at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's parliamentary audit of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee tomorrow, was adopted as a witness.

Kang is a former aide to former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, who released a recording related to Myung Tae-kyun during the 2022 by-elections and the last general election nomination process.

At the same time, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's parliamentary audit is expected to engage in a dispute over the results of the investigation by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, which cleared Kim of the alleged manipulation of Deutsche Motors' stock price.

Kang Yoo-jung, a spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, reaffirmed his plan to impeach Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung, saying he will do his best to reveal the suspicions of Kim during the rest of the parliamentary inspection.

In response, the ruling party is highlighting the first trial sentence of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung, which is a month away.

Park Joon-tae, a spokesman for the People's Power Party, accused the Democratic Party of impeaching the prosecutor and neutralizing the prosecution, saying that it would only retaliate against the prosecution's investigation against Lee, and that it is a tyranny of the times.

The day after tomorrow, a parliamentary inspection of various courts, including the Seoul Central District Court, is scheduled, and the ruling party is expected to face the opposition's offensive, highlighting the controversy over the delay in Lee's trial.
