Seoraksan Mountain's first snow this fall, "Pop Pop"...It's two days earlier than last year.

As the temperature dropped sharply, the first snow fell on the highlands of Seoraksan Mountain this fall.

The first snow was observed in the Jungcheong shelter near the summit of Mt. Seorak from 7:30 p.m. yesterday (19th).

Snow fell for about 12 hours until 7 a.m. today, but the snowfall was only 1cm due to strong winds in the highlands.

The first snow of Seoraksan Mountain is two days earlier than last year and nine days later than the year before.

The Seoraksan National Park Office recently said that the number of hikers is increasing to see autumn leaves, and as the highlands are in winter weather, make sure to bring winter supplies for safe hiking.
