Zelensky "North Korea's participation in the war will be detrimental to everyone...Concerns over a protracted war"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged the international community to be more decisive in responding to North Korea's support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine.In a video address, President Zelensky said there was sufficient satellite and video evidence that North Korea was sending soldiers to Russia to be deployed to the battlefield as well as equipment, according to Reuters.

"I am grateful to national leaders and representatives who speak frankly without closing their eyes," Zelenskyy said, stressing that he expected his partners to respond more normally, honestly and strongly.

He also called it "the de facto participation of other countries in the war against Ukraine" and warned that further North Korea's involvement in the war would inevitably harm everyone.

In particular, he argued that "if North Korea is skilled in modern warfare, unfortunately, instability and threats can increase a lot, and the war can be prolonged."
