An Australian woman who was trying to pick up a cell phone that fell through a rock gap was dramatically rescued after being trapped upside down in a rock gap for eight hours.

Australia's New South Wales (NSW) paramedics said on social media (SNS) on the 21st that a woman recently dropped her phone between a rock 10cm wide and 3m deep while taking a walk with friends in Laguna, a rural town in Hunter Valley.

The woman pushed her head into the cracks of the rock to find a mobile phone that fell, but her body became stuck upside down.

The released photo shows a woman's bare feet trapped upside down in a gap between rocks.

After receiving reports from friends, the rescue team, which was dispatched urgently, began a high-level work to create a safe rescue space by pulling up to 500 kilograms of rocks.

The work took about 7 hours, and the woman was able to be rescued safely with only minor abrasions.

Rescuers at the scene said they had "never done anything like this in 10 years of life as rescuers," adding that the woman's cell phone was still in the cracks of the rock.
